This Manager, Portfolio Management role is responsible for supervising the day-to-day management and media planning process of a major theatrical/home entertainment/television account. The manager will need to have working knowledge across a variety of media platforms, including broadcast and digital media.  This person should enjoy working in a fast paced, constantly evolving ecosystem, while having a vested interest in the entertainment landscape and marketplace

 
Key Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Develops and executes strategic media plans with a multi-media, integrated approach
  • Supervises development and implementation of targeted, innovative media solutions consistent with media strategies
  • Ensures timely creation and delivery of work to clients by working across an inter-disciplinary team that includes Investment, Strategy, Analytics, and Research
  • Develops and guides tactical components of client media campaigns, such as flow charts, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and budget summaries
  • Prepares and delivers effective presentations as necessary, both internally and at times client facing
  • Plans, directs, supervises, and coordinates work activities of subordinates and handles all personnel requirements for immediate staff including training, development and mentorship
  • Supports leadership/management with adhoc requests and projects, while assisting in larger initiatives like annual upfront planning
  • Contributes to inter-agency projects where applicable
Desired Skills & Experience

Work Experience:
  • Three to five years of experience in media planning
  • Success in managing junior staff 
 
Skills:
  • Strong presentation skills in internal, vendor, and client meetings
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Self-Starter, demonstrates Initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Entertainment experience a strong plus
  • Solid awareness of industry trends and planning/measurement models
  • Understanding of marketing and communications process
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a group dynamic
