MSL is currently seeking a Senior Account Executive for our P&G practice in our New York office. (Remote for now, of course). As an integral member of the team, this Senior Account Executive will be responsible for the development and execution of PR plans and leading day-to-day account activities for iconic P&G brands we bet you have at home.

You should have a passion for all things influence and social and be able to work in an integrated model with our agency partners. Details are important, and you should be able to develop and oversee budgets and have on point project management skills. You’ll be comfortable delegating work and direction to junior team members, working with your senior leaders to drive work forward and presenting to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the team in executing PR plans and day-to-day client activities for well-known CPG brands, including leading client calls, developing call reports, and project timelines
  • Support influencer strategy and execute influencer programs including the identification of influencers, development of briefs, social captions and visual direction
  • Support negotiations and contracts for influencers; manage talent agency with oversight from senior team members. Write strong media and consumer materials including persuasive pitch letters, press releases, fact sheets, spokesperson bios, etc.
  • Build relationships with editors and producers covering consumer product goods to pitch stories and secure placements
  • Develop event execution logistics including vendor coordination, run of show document creation, real-time results management and budget management
  • Provide support to the overall financial and administrative management of the team including writing call reports, maintaining account trackers, invoicing and budget trackers
  • Nimbly conduct research for plan creation, including independent desktop research as well as collaboration with in-house research/culture team on larger research initiatives
  • Provide oversight, guidance and mentorship to junior team members, contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Requirements/Skills:

  • BA/BS Degree in a related field
  • 3+ years' experience in Public Relations in the consumer practice of an agency, experience in CPG products, consumer health, personal care and sustainability a plus
  • Creative thinker with a pulse on what’s happening in culture; shares a passion for bringing forward-looking ideas to the team and client
  • Flexibility/versatility to tackle different tasks throughout the day and pivot with little or no warning based on client needs
  • Excellent writing skills are essential to this position, as well as great attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking and proactivity
  • Strong verbal communication skills, poise and professionalism
  • Knowledge of social media tools such as Netbase, Brandwatch, Cision, Sprinklr
