Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Global Employee Communications and Engagement to support critical business areas within Visa that drive the company’s strategy and growth with clients, merchants, and government stakeholders. The Senior Manager will support the executives leading these three global business functions while partnering with the Senior Director and Vice President to develop and implement thoughtful communications strategies for major business initiatives and milestones. This role also will work closely with regional and business communications partners to align enterprise messages that celebrate and educate employees about Visa’s purpose, strategy, and culture.


  • Serve as a communication strategist and trusted counselor to leaders on effective communication strategies and tactics to drive employee engagement and understanding of the business.

  • Identify and proactively present communication opportunities for leaders to further their objectives.

  • Assist with production planning and content creation for events and other internal engagements (e.g., digital and written interviews, articles, etc.).

  • Write, edit, and product content across multiple channels (e.g., intranet, presentations, and videos) to help employees understand what is happening within the function and across the enterprise.

  • Prepare talking points, speeches, slides, and other materials.

  • Develop and implement communication strategies for large-scale change initiatives.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.


Basic Qualifications
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
• Corporate communications experience with relevant internal communications and client support experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or related discipline required.
• Experience in fintech, financial services, or another relevant area strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Exceptional project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
• A keen eye for detail and demonstrated understanding of the impact that written and designed communications can make.
• Interest in seeking and adopting current trends and best practices in employee communications.
• Demonstrated ability to influence, counsel, and guide leaders, and to build relationships within a highly matrixed organization.
• Sound business judgment and experience connecting the dots among seemingly unrelated topics.
• A self-starter and resourceful problem solver.
• Positive approach and commitment to collaboration with shared purpose.

This role may be located in New York, San Francisco, Foster City, Austin and Atlanta. The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 111200 USD to 170000 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location of applicant. In addition, this position is eligible for bonus and equity.
