Seattle University, a school of more than 7000 students, located in the heart of one of the world's most vibrant and innovative cities, seeks an exceptional marketing executive with creative vision and collaborative leadership abilities to serve as its inaugural Chief Marketing Officer and Associate Vice President. Reporting to the Vice President for University Affairs, the Chief Marketing Officer will serve as the University's senior marketing leader, joining a dynamic team at an exciting time with the University under the leadership of its first lay president, Eduardo M. Peñalver, who arrived in 2021 with ambitious goals to build Seattle University's national reputation. The successful candidate will oversee and be responsible for helping to achieve those goals and for ensuring a consistent brand across all marketing channels.

Working with six schools and colleges and across university divisions, the Chief Marketing Officer will be involved in the development and implementation of its first integrated, campus-wide, strategic marketing plan that will take Seattle University to the next level in student consideration, corporate and alumni partnerships, and in the ability to attract the best and brightest students, staff, and faculty, while remaining firmly rooted in the institution's Jesuit

The Associate Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer will serve as a key member of the Vice President's leadership team. Overseeing all aspects of marketing, this forward-thinking leader will work to grow awareness of Seattle University, the excellence of its faculty, its rigorous academic programs, and the value and importance of a Jesuit education.

As the senior marketing leader, the CMO will be a transformative and entrepreneurial leader who will work closely with the Vice President and the University Affairs team to set priorities for institutional marketing initiatives. The Chief Marketing Officer will be a be a tactical leader and collaborative change-agent overseeing a multifaceted, interdisciplinary marketing organization that manages the University's brand and produces regional, national, and international marketing campaigns and programs that appeal to diverse stakeholders. The position is responsible for the oversight of the planning, development, and execution of university, college, school, athletics, and individual unit marketing and promotions initiatives, generating revenue by achieving enrollment, fundraising, and auxiliary business objectives.
