PRIMARY FUNCTION The Director, Marketing & Strategic Communications will be responsible for managing a robust corporate communication strategy, leading a range of sophisticated branding initiatives, and supporting the development of thought leadership content to amplify our competitive advantages as an industry leader. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead brand building initiatives to support the uniqueness and competitive edge of a Pitcairn client experience: - Ensure our business positioning resonates in the market and distinguishes our perspective, services, offerings, and competitive advantages - Ensure brand consistency and up-to-date application of our visual brand identity across all marketing channels. - Lead collaborative development of marketing materials across print, digital and in-person formats Lead planning and executing a robust corporate communications strategy and marketing campaigns to deliver communications internally and externally: - Develop annual and forward-looking marketing calendars to map current and longer-term initiatives with business objectives - Support Pitcairn’s Leadership Team on press opportunities and shareholder communications - Advise internal specialists who engage with press or are conference panelists on best practices and collaborate on presentation and messaging to ensure quality delivery - Manage all social media and company website strategy and communications to drive content, digital engagement and increase visibility and traffic. - Identify, research and complete industry award/recognition opportunities relevant to business objectives - Develop and maintain repeatable workflows to institutionalize framework while remaining adept and innovative. Support development of thought leadership content designed to further our position as industry leader of fresh and innovative insights: - Conduct research to identify industry trends and insights - Partner with internal leaders, subject matter experts, and external contributors to develop, curate and produce valuable and engaging thought leadership content - Ensure content is heavily edited and well-written to elevate and streamline language, present ideas clearly and incorporate consistent messaging. Manage the annual department budget, authorize expenditures, and ensure accurate tracking of project costs to control expenses. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE MBA in Marketing preferred. BA or equivalent in English, Marketing, Communications, or related field. 10+ years of experience blending corporate marketing, content development, and communications preferably in the financial services/investments industry Superior demonstrated storytelling, writing and editing skills for crafting and evolving narratives coupled with the mind of a research analyst Multimedia contributor utilizing digital assets such as mobile apps, video, podcast, and social media as effective communication tools Experience in multi-media brand strategy and execution Website content creation and platform architecture Managing multiple projects from concept to completion, on time and on budget Managing and prioritizing items in a dynamic budget Successfully liaising with third party communication firms Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES A high degree of brand discipline combined with a revenue-generating attitude Strong interpersonal skills Influencer of people with a strategic mindset Results-oriented Leadership potential - ability to lead dynamic, cross-functional teams of people to execute big projects on both a content and individual level.
