Background

Founded in London in 1987, Brunswick’s global partnership has grown organically to 27 offices in 18 countries. We began as a M&A and financial communications firm and, over time, expanded our capabilities and expertise to crisis communications and communications on other business critical issues. We invested in new offices, sectors and a wider variety of offers for clients such as public and regulatory affairs, major litigation, business and society, cyber, employee engagement and digital. Our in-house creative agency, Merchant Cantos, delivers creative, visual content for clients.

We rank number 1 in the world over the last five years by global deal value and global deal volume and were named Band 1 advisors in the U.S. and the UK earlier this year by Chambers and Partners, the legal rankings service, as one of the very top communications firms offering legal and litigation support work. The Americas

In the U.S., we have offices in Chicago, Dallas, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. In Brazil, we have an office in Sao Paulo. We advise clients on, among other things, domestic and cross border M&A, IPOs, activism, capital markets and investor relations, public and regulatory affairs, geopolitical issues, litigation, crisis, cyber, employee engagement, digital, opinion research and on broader reputation campaigns.

Colleagues in the U.S. are drawn from a variety of backgrounds and consist of in-depth industry and sector experts from banking, law, accounting, politics, government, journalism and the media, consulting and elsewhere. Our U.S. CEO is Nik Deogun.

 

Data Visualization Analyst – Collective Intelligence

Opportunity

As the lead Data Visualization Analyst for Brunswick’s content brand, CI, you will be responsible for collaborating with the entire firm to generate ideas and turn data into compelling visual insights for clients globally. CI will be a new division within Brunswick, focused on bringing the outside in for our clients, and demonstrating the best of Brunswick’s thinking and capabilities. Your role will be to gather and organize data, using all of Brunswick’s resources, to help our clients understand and solve their most critical issues. This role will require an entrepreneurial spirit, wide-ranging curiosity about Brunswick’s work, enthusiasm to engage with people and ideas around the world, and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly. You will report to the Group Head of Content in New York and work closely with Brunswick’s leadership across the entire firm.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with client and research teams globally to understand issues and identify data sources.
  • Use the latest software (Tableau, Looker etc.) to turn data into visual insights.
  • Generate original ideas for presenting data to provoke thinking and generate business.
  • Collaborate extensively with non-technical and technical people to create content.
  • Engage intellectually with firm’s work in multiple sectors and regions.
  • Demonstrate a strong aesthetic sense for presenting complex ideas.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Technical experience working with data, including familiarity with SQL, Python and JavaScript.
  • Experience with data visualization and interface design.
  • Know how to develop and maintain clean, well-organized. and consistent data.
  • Empathy with different kinds of users and their relationships to technology and data.
  • Ability to work in a global firm.
  • Knowledge of the newest trends and developments in data presentation.
  • Intellectually enthused by Brunswick’s work, clients, and strategic ambitions.
