Role Mission

The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for supporting strategic narratives related to Social Impact, Business, and Internal communications as part of the PR team and larger Brand Engagement department to achieve the overall positioning and business goals of the brand.  The manager works directly with the Gucci America and WW teams to support corporate and business focused initiatives including retail openings, management and tracking of brand issues, amplification of the social impact strategy in the philanthropic space, support with internal communications strategy for both employee community and industry related news and provide daily support on corporate communications to the Vice President of Public Relations.

Key Accountabilities
  • Support Vice President of PR in the overall execution of the corporate communication strategy;
  • Liaise with Milan HQ Corporate Communications team on all initiatives;
  • Assist with issue and crisis management including tracking and reporting;
  • Liaise with corporate communication agency of record;
  • Create and maintain relationships with corporate/business media proactively outreaching to key business publications and editors to make sure Gucci is top of mind;
  • Create pitches on timely news to obtain press coverage based on corporate pushes;
  • Execute executive communication strategy for local and global CEO;
  • Draft interview responses for executives;
  • Support with store opening communication strategy focusing on business approach;
  • Further amplify social impact work (Gucci Equilibrium, Gucci Changemakers, CHIME FOR CHANGE, sustainability efforts and more) through communication pushes;
  • Oversee all Gucci corporate mentions including tracking Kering earnings etc.;
  • Monitor and report on competitor corporate industry happenings;
  • Support with internal communications for employees;
  • Collaborate with full Public Relations team (Director of Public Relations, Manager of Public Relations) on 360 communication strategies;
  • Manage Public Relations Coordinator and Freelancers as needed to support in tracking, and reporting.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years working in corporate communications/public relations;
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word; Excel; Powerpoint: Outlook; Cision;
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship--building skills;
  • Strong retail/business press relationships;
  • Strong writing and verbal skills;
  • Appreciation and understanding of the luxury fashion industry as a business.
