Our team works on strategy development, communications and advocacy, resource mobilization, organizational design, and fiscal sponsorship with topical projects in, but not limited to, outbreak preparedness, vaccines, gender equity, and the climate crises.

Position Summary
We’re looking for a strategic thinker, partner-centric, and motivated team collaborator with a proven ability to create and implement outcomes-based communications plans, strategies, and tactics that advance business objectives. This individual must have expertise in strategy, project management, issues management, integrated communications, and must be comfortable advising internal stakeholders. Individuals must be highly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and efficient in ambiguous situations.
In this role, you will develop communications and messaging assets for internal teams and external audiences to inform and promote Panorama- or partner-led initiatives. You will work independently on a small team within a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. This role may include travel for team meetings and special projects.

This position reports to the Vice President, External Affairs.

This position is available on a fully remote basis within the United States.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Branding (25%)
  • Develop and implement communication and branding strategies for programs and the organization and collaborate with the communications team to develop and implement communications, tools, and processes.
Content Creation & Editing (30%)
  • Create and deliver engaging and effective communications for multiple channels including website, email, video, graphics, meetings, and events.
  • Assist in writing and editing team communications, executive briefs, and other materials for internal and external audiences.
Program Management (35%)
  • Develop metrics and track delivery against project objectives.
  • Meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, and maintain strong attention to detail to meet organizational objectives and quality measures, with the willingness to pivot as necessary and roll up one’s sleeves to get the work done.
  • Provide project management, design, and communications support to program events, projects, and initiatives.

Partnership Development (10%)
  • Contribute to the development of partnerships with leadership and teams within our organization, across teams, and with vendors.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in program communications and/or marketing experience
  • Experience in content creation, copy-editing, and working with cross-functional teams and partners
  • Experience in communications strategy and planning, public relations, writing, speaking, and active listening
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with the ability to formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues, and the ability to create a concise and well-written narrative
  • Brings an expansive partnerships approach and strong relationship management skills
  • Excellent track record of driving change and influencing organizations through communications
  • Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly
  • Professional understanding of crisis management
  • Ability to effectively engage with team members of all levels and across departments
  • Strong project management skills, including time management, goal setting, budgeting, multitasking, and prioritization
  • Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analysis, and influencing results
  • Passionate about writing and connecting with an audience through a written medium.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills and ability to make data-focused decisions.
  • Excellent cross-group collaboration skills
  • Earns trust through performance and relationship building, has creative ideas for employee engagement, and has an extreme level of attention to detail

Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in the Communications field preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, growing social impact environment would be highly beneficial.
  • Experience in an executive communications role is highly regarded. Experience developing creative, effective approaches to difficult communications challenges.
  • Additional language proficiencies welcomed

The starting salary for this position is $105,000.00 alongside a comprehensive benefits package including:
