In a large, global company, operating in such a dynamic industry as travel, a compelling corporate narrative, and a well-orchestrated communications approach are a must. Employees, travelers, and investors are demanding more of the brands they support, and we are up for the challenge. Expedia Group is investing in a senior communications manager who specializes in corporate social impact and sustainability to help shape our employer brand and corporate reputation. If being part of a nimble, yet impactful team excites you, then this may be the job for you.

Reporting to a Senior Director, this role will lead corporate social responsibility and sustainability communications at Expedia Group. As an architect of a key part of our global narrative, the Senior Manager will manage, implement and support comprehensive communication strategies. • Develop and implement strategic internal communications plans and collaborate with the external communications team for alignment
  • Manage a broad range of proactive and reactive communications activities that include finding and utilizing creative ways to tell our stories to employees, managers, top leaders, and external groups
  • Work closely with the broader communications team, and Social Impact and Inclusion and Diversity partners on cross-functional projects around multi-dimensional topics and drive content creation and other curated materials tied to the broader Expedia Group communications strategy, narrative and editorial calendar
  • Lead the end-to-end development of employee-focused content strategy for global, business-critical initiatives, and implement this strategy to create content that attracts, engages and informs employees – in a range of formats (e.g., written, experiential, digital) and channels (e.g., intranet, email, chat)
  • Manage and resolve multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities, to maximize the impact of employee communications across Expedia Group overall
  • Ensure all content is approved, on-brand, and follows our style and tone of voice
  • Develop methods to collect employee communications and engagement metrics, sharing results with relevant team members to acknowledge progress and inform decision-making
  • Manage other related tasks as needed

Who you are:

  • Attention to detail, ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and sound judgment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated results in working with and leading the thinking of partners; including the ability to influence message content and delivery
  • Awareness of the latest corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability and environmental social governance (ESG) trends, standards and reporting
  • Experience in working at a major, public corporation of 8,000 employees or more with designated signature CSR and/or I&D Programs
  • Experience working with equity and advocacy organizations and foundations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable with a passionate working environment and tight deadlines
  • Ability to handle changing priorities, multiple overlapping and concurrent projects
  • Outstanding project management and experience in supporting communications across a matrixed organization a plus
  • 7+ years Employee/Internal Communications experience in a corporate or agency environment; travel and/or tech industry experience preferred
  • 5+ years of proven experience working closely with executive or leadership roles, particularly in highly innovative, fast-paced environments, with a proven record of results
