Overview

In this role in the Corporate Services & Global Centers Office of the COO, you will have direct responsibility for the Department’s communications and marketing initiatives on a global scale. This will include both communications internal to the department and those that are Firm facing to broader Morgan Stanley employees. As a member of the Global Engagement Team, you will report into the Global Head of Strategy & Engagement, based in New York. You will work in close partnership with the Global Lead for Talent Development & Diversity & Inclusion as well as the regional COOs for EMEA and Asia. You will have one direct report at the Associate level.

You Will:

  • Lead and formulate the communications marketing strategy and rollout of all global initiatives/priorities
  • and ensure success across all regions
  • Collaborate with Firm partners in Corporate Communications, Firm Marketing and other divisions as
  • needed to advance divisional and Firm goals
  • Build a trusted advisory relationship with executive stakeholders
  • Provide executive and divisional written and verbal presentations
  • Navigate a matrixed organization effectively and provide strategic and timely updates and
  • recommendations to multiple senior stakeholders
  • Oversee creation, approval and execution of a variety of communications activities, including email
  • memos, newsletters, intranet sites, global open forums and other departmental events
  • Partner with other functions across Corporate Services & Global Centers to provide guidance and
  • support relating to their line of service communications, intranet sites
  • Provide strategic communications planning and execution support for engaging and communicating
  • with audiences across the company on firm-driven initiatives, closely partnering with Corporate
  • Communications
  • Help to shape the organizational narrative and employees’ behaviors on key Firm priorities such as
  • Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusion, Employee Experience and Health & Wellbeing
  • Oversee Perks at Work program management

  • To be successful in this role, you will have these technical skills, degree(s) or knowledge and experience:
  • 8 years’ experience in related communications marketing role in a global organization
  • Experience managing a team and multiple projects at the same time
  • Proficient in MS Office with advanced PowerPoint skills
  • Present to and facilitate meetings with senior leaders
  • Experience in strategic communications and marketing
  • Strong analytical ability while consistently demonstrating strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills in order to multitask competing priorities in
  • a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Bachelor/University degree
  • What’s Preferred for this Role
  • To give you an extra boost, you will:
  • Have previous experience in developing or managing people-related programs
  • Know the fundamentals of project management
  • Have experience in Intranet publishing system, content management and tools
