About the Job
The Director will be responsible for the development and execution of innovative integrated communications strategies and programs to support global, regional, and local initiatives for Estée Lauder. Leverage a deep understanding of the global media eco-system including digital, influencers and traditional media, to create compelling storytelling, guide markets and ensure a consistent global brand image is delivered.

About Your Responsibilities

Global Communications strategies that align with brand priorities, elevate brand image and create conversation:     

  • Develop global digitally-integrated strategies and executions against product launch programs and other brand initiatives to support Estée Lauder brand.
  • Develop strong influencer strategies and guidance across programs for the local markets to activate to drive brand awareness and consideration
  • Partner with Product Marketing/Development, Consumer Engagement, Education, regional teams and market Communications leads to ensure consistent and compelling communications messages and strategies are created and brand assets are developed
  • Lead the creation of Estée Lauder’s press materials and work in partnership with CE and PM to brief in visual assets for each respective program and ensure asset delivery to markets in a timely manner
  • Liaise directly with International PR Managers to ensure “best-in-class” executions at a local level, consistent with the global brand image
  • Partner with GC team to conduct regular meetings with priority market Communications leads to brainstorm ideas and strategies against key brand programs

Talent Management:

  • In partnership with ED, manage model announcement strategies and cadencing
  • Craft spokesperson talking points for interviews and presentations
  • Lead organization & development of activations with global makeup artists, spokesmodels and spokespeople, liaising with cross-functional teams where needed

 Influencer Activation:

  • Partner closely with CE in developing TikTok campaign strategies for EL global channel and lead influencer selection/vetting, briefing and relationship management to ensure best in class execution and strong ROI
  • In partnership with Coordinator, develop always-on influencer gifting strategy for makeup and fragrance to keep brand top of mind, generate ongoing conversation and develop brand loyalists 

Event Planning and Management:

  • Lead and execute with oversight from ED and VP, global events for major brand image moments for respective categories
  • Liaise with external production agencies to ensure brand image and messaging is followed
  • Partner with VP and ED to manage all talent including executives, spokesmodels and brand spokespeople
  • Manage all project budgets
  • Create and share post event recap including key ROI metrics, newsflash for brand and internal Intranet posts
  • Work closely with local markets on local event executions to ensure consistent brand image

 

Develop Collaborative Relationships:

  • Partner with Global Communications team in responding to daily requests from all markets, including queries on communications programs, information requests and spokespeople interviews
  • Liaise with PR Managers from all international markets and respond to daily requests/questions from global markets, including queries on PR programs, information requests and spokesperson interviews
  • Develop strong partnerships with key contacts across all functions to ensure Global Communications is consistently recognized as a key player in strategic decision-making for the brand

Experiences You Have

  • 7+ years related work experience in agency or in-house with proven blended PR, influencer, and social media skills
  • College Degree Required
  • Prestige/luxury brand experience
  • 360 communication programming development and activation
  • Global experience and understanding of cultural nuances
  • Working with models, celebrities, high profile executives
  • Development and execution of large-scale events
  • Understanding of global social media and beauty and lifestyle influencer landscape
