Are you a marketing professional with knowledge and enthusiasm for social media? Do you love to take on projects and coordinate with like-minded professionals to see them through to fruition? TNC’s Global Marketing & Communications Division is looking for a Social Media and Content Specialist to take on marketing content projects, mainly in the New York market, and help drive content and communications across channels.

The Social Media and Content Specialist manages and implements marketing projects/initiatives and manages project resources proactively. They work within the framework of positioning, platform and voice of the organization’s marketing objectives to meet stakeholders’ needs. They work closely with various constituents such as department staff, field offices, program consultants and vendors to manage all phases of projects. They may work within budgets to minimize expenses, maximize revenue, and meet quality control standards. They may use software systems to track and analyze program results, report findings, and works with senior marketing managers to implement strategic recommendations.

• Organizes, manages, and coordinates diverse projects and activities with many variables.
• May supervise volunteers, interns, or temporary staff.
• Works within a budget to complete a project.
• Duties are performed under general supervision and established guidelines.
• Opportunity to act independently on assigned tasks and projects. May have full opportunity to direct individual projects.
• Specific projects include:
• Writing and developing a variety of marketing and communications materials including social media posts, action alerts, web pages,online promotions/giving/communications and print publications across channels
• Writing and coordinating content and stories across departments and business units, working closely with the Executive team and others on the Marketing and Communications team
• Designing and implementing social media campaigns aimed at increasing engagement, traffic, and leads generated through digital campaigns; placing an emphasis and discipline on measuring campaign performance to help with recommendations for future programs
• Managing social media content calendar and engagement strategy
• Managing web page design and posting of content and stories to nature.org
• Serving on Conservancy-wide teams relevant to role,

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience cultivating and managing client/customer relationships.
• Experience writing, editing and proofreading.

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
• Familiarity with social and digital media trends, tools and metrics
• Possesses a sense of urgency; is self-motivated and detailed-minded
• Proactive approach in resolving problems and issues
• Experience using communications software such as Constant Contact, Mail Chimp or similar
