The Comms Team is responsible for conveying Snap’s mission, vision and values to core audiences within our community, which include Snapchatters, advertising partners, content partners, investors, policymakers, and Snap team members. This passionate team works diligently to show the world what makes Snapchat the best platform for communication and storytelling, and to ensure narratives about the company, its people, and its products are accurate and compelling.


We’re looking for a Manager of Talent and Inclusion Communications to join our external communications team!


What you'll do:

  • Design and deliver a proactive external strategy for communicating Snap’s brand, culture and values to key audiences, through earned media, digital media and other platforms

  • Lead our communications efforts for our diversity, equity and inclusion work, working closely with senior leaders across the company to help support their respective goals

  • Develop messaging, proactive pitching, presentations, and thought leadership narratives in support of teams’ brand and DEI initiatives

  • Identify creative opportunities for breaking through, including through written pieces, speaking events, and digital content

  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key reporters and editors across a diverse range of media outlets 

  • Pitch stories, create press materials, and prepare spokespeople for media interviews and speaking engagements. 

  • Collaborate with a close-knit global communications team to help drive locally relevant strategies in key markets


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Experience working on brand communications and/or DEI initiatives

  • Strong command of the media and cultural landscape, and experience working both with reporters and on digital strategy 

  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to experiment in order to learn and identify creative solutions

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to build relationships cross-functionally and across different time zones

  • Excellent judgment, as well as exceptional writing and communications skills

  • Able to serve as a Snap spokesperson as needed


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of professional experience working in a communications role or related field

  • 8+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience working with the media and developing digital strategy

  • The minimum target salary for this position is $130,000

  • This position is eligible for a discretionary performance award

  • This position is eligible to receive ongoing equity grants.​
