The College of Health Sciences offers many graduate programs, including one of the University’s four doctoral degrees (Doctor of Nursing Practice) and a diverse range of master’s degrees and certificate options. The Communication & Digital Media Manager is responsible for all internal and external marketing and communications including publications, social media, and events; and acts as a campus liaison to promote CHS achievements to University Communications & Marketing and the Provost’s Office. This includes working with the Dean to develop college digital media strategy; develop, implement, and maintain social and digital media content, and measure CHS digital media engagement and track performance.

The ideal candidate will will bring innovative and creative marketing strategies to lead digital communication projects for the college and demonstrate excellent customer service skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities; and the ability to communicate effectively across a diverse population.

Responsibilities include:
  • Develop CHS marketing materials
  • Create and disseminate CHS newsletters
  • Work with the departments to promote academic programs 
  • Facilitate production of promotional videos and digital content
  • Maintain the college events calendar
  • Promote CHS events to campus and community stakeholders
  • Work with CHS dean, departments, and the WCU Foundation to enhance alumni communications  
  • Collaborate with departments to collect student and faculty achievements and publishing accomplishments
  • Attend CHS and department events as needed
  • Participate in committees as needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
  • Two years of work experience in communications, marketing, and/or event planning
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and TEAMS
  • Demonstrated proficiency using media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare or health science program marketing
  • Higher education experience

The salary range for this position is $53,690 to $61,358.
