About the Role 

WE Communications is hiring an Account Executive (AE) for its Corporate, Media Strategy and Executive Communications (CMSE) team, joining a group of professionals with diverse backgrounds in strategic communications and consulting, public relations, public and corporate affairs, crisis communications, corporate social responsibility, employee communications, and CEO/executive communications.

This position will serve as a day-to-day contact for client accounts, with an emphasis on internal communication and employee engagement solutions. The AE will be a key member of the Employee Engagement team, responsible for driving key rhythm-of-business activities as well as implementing campaigns that ensure client satisfaction and achievement of objectives, including:

  • Managing client projects and crafting campaign deliverables.
  • Keeping a pulse on internal trends and sentiment related to key campaigns.
  • Developing positive rapport and strong relationships across CMSE team and clients, stakeholders, and partners.

This role is open in our Seattle, WA or Portland, OR offices only.

Responsibilities 

Client Service

  • Manage project workbacks, editorial calendars and execute tasks associated with projects; may lead certain project pieces.
  • Manage monthly targeted internal communications (e.g., emails/newsletters) for key audiences in partnership with client(s), stakeholders, and partners.
  • Support implementation of communication campaigns. This may include materials development, such as campaign briefs, strategic recommendations, key messaging, and written collateral (e.g., tool kits, newsletters, executive presentations).
  • Drive agendas and PowerPoint slides for client meetings; attend and take notes to share a recap with team and clients afterwards; May present during meetings.
  • Contribute to brainstorms & strategic campaign development, as well as development & implementation of communication strategies.
  • Begin to understand clients’ business model from a global perspective; understand key markets, global employer trends, and the impact on client/business narrative.
  • Anticipate potential communications challenges, identify opportunities, and help develop solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications 

The AE joins a team of professionals with multi-disciplinary skills who successfully blend sector and content knowledge, client service, and expertise in strategic consulting and communications. He/she is expected to have the following qualifications:

 

Sector Knowledge and Technical Expertise

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficiency with business applications (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
  • Experience in internal communications, employee engagement, change management, and organizational development a plus.
  • Knowledge of healthcare and/or employee benefits a plus.

 

Client Service

  • Experience directly managing and supporting clients and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Ability to work with clients and teams across various geographic locations with moderate supervision.

 

People Management

  • Experience working in a team setting.
  • Ability to work across many levels including managing up to senior staff.
  • Experience flagging issues for team leads in timely manner.

 

Agency Business

  • Understand and meet WE guidelines on best business practices including utilization, daily timesheets, accurate billing, timely expense reports, etc.
  • Participate in monthly activity and budget reporting, as necessary.
  • Make presentations to groups of all sizes ꟷ both client and agency, small and large, formal, and informal.
  • Participate in professional development classes, utilize employee education funds and other opportunities for learning and continual improvement. Actively share what you learn.
  • Participate in team or agency projects as assigned.
  • Look for opportunities to “sell” or expand agency presence with the client.

                                                                                                                
Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in corporate communications, internal communications and/or public relations, preferably in an agency setting and/or within applicable industry.

Compensation

The base annual salary range for this role, applicable across all U.S. locations, is outlined below. The actual salary may vary based on several factors such as business requirements, job responsibilities, skills, experience, and geographical location.

Salary Range

$60,000 - $68,000 USD
