Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Communications Coordinator located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Communications Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with supporting account teams and internal company plans in daily activities. You will learn ColorComm’s processes/procedures, including client engagement, external messaging, social media campaigns and stakeholder engagement. This is a fast-paced, entry-level position. You must be thoughtful, proactive, and always one step ahead of the assignment. Good interpersonal communications are a must and the ability to be thoughtful and go beyond the task in everyday assignments are key.

 

Expected competencies include:

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the communications, marketing, and advertising industries.
  • Demonstrate basic principles of media relations and influencer and community engagement
  • Provide client service administration including preparing status reports, scheduling meetings, developing project trackers, client coverage reports, etc.
  • Strong research skills and posses the ability to outline, write, edit and proofread materials, including media and influencer pitches, press releases and online content
  • Understand internal operations and team collaboration
  • Participate in the new business process including research, audits and preparation of proposals
  • Experience with social media, email marketing, and website management
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across ColorComm, Inc portfolio of brands and provide administrative support for teams.

You Also Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in the communications or related field
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn internal systems and processes

Salary Range: $50-60,000/year

Salary commensurate with experience.
