JOB TITLE: MARKETING COORDINATOR

REPORTS: DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND VENDOR RELATIONS

JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Coordinator reports primarily to the Director of Marketing and Vendor Relations and secondarily to the VP of Purchasing/Sales.

Marketing Coordinator Job Duties:

  • Managing the marketing calendar and keeping promotional information up-to-date.

  • Working in conjunction with the in-house creative and consumer engagement teams to

    develop key deliverables.

  • Assisting in the planning of tradeshow appearances.

  • Manages creation of content and distribution of monthly deal newsletter to B2B customers.

Marketing Coordinator will collaborate with key players on

our marketing team to make sure that each project gets the resources and attention it needs to be

successful. Candidate for this role will also be responsible for handling correspondence with clients

and communicating with other departments within the company to keep marketing campaigns on

track. Note: This role is a 50/50 split of marketing strategy and execution.

  • Assist in implementing marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing sales POS; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; updating calendars.

  • Distribute brand POS sales and shipment reports weekly to Ultra Standard manufactures via dedicated sharing portal.

  • Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.

  • Researches competitive products and brands by identifying and evaluating product

    characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading consumer / trade

    publications and website.

  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different

    requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Interact with consumers through field marketing activities

Develop strong relationships with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment of marketing

Work with management on projects dealing with media relations, business communications,

Distributors and The Leader in Multicultural and Beauty Care Products

• Drafting, editing, organizing and proofing various marketing collateral, including proposal

content, project sheets, resumes, award submittals, brochures, media relations pieces and

presentation content/PowerPoints to ensure content is comprehensive, competitive and client-

specific.

  • Creating/managing templates

  • Scheduling and tracking production of proposals/qualifications packages to meet deadlines

    and assisting in production efforts

  • Performing support and/or administrative tasks, as required.

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in marketing beauty or skincare products to professional

    channels and consumers.

  • Must have a passion for Beauty (Haircare) and the Multi-cultural / AA Consumer

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • B2B and B2C experience preferred.

  • Comfortable working both in a team environment and independently.

  • Strong ability in Excel and PPT (creating marketing presentations).
