As part of the Social Media Team, the Social Media Content Manager works within the Integrated Brand Team to help tell the story of No Kid Hungry and Share Our Strength brands to national audiences. Regular projects for this role include developing posts for multiple channels, analyzing post performance to better engage digital audiences, shaping campaign ideas to inspire these audiences to take action, and ensuring that our content streams represent an equitable, diverse, and inclusive vision.

This position is preferably based in Washington, DC, but could be fully remote for the right candidate. Range for offers: $61,000-$68,000.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the creation and management of organic social media content for the No Kid Hungry campaign’s national accounts to showcase a consistent voice even when subject matters fluctuate.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to manage and maintain an organization-wide social media calendar.
  • Manage and distribute content for accounts under Share Our Strengths brands (Share Our Strength, No Kid Hungry, Cooking Matters, Add Passion and Stir).
  • Serve as subject matter expert on social media content practices.
  • Advise Share Our Strength social media account managers on the content ideas regarding their channels and target audiences.
  • Manage vendor relationship related to content projects, including, but not limited to social media copywriters, app/platform representatives, etc.
  • Help develop innovative campaigns that elevate our partners, our work and our community.
  • Support reporting and data analysis needs
  • Partner with colleagues to support Share Our Strength's work to be a diverse and inclusive organization, and ensuring this value is embedded in the organization and throughout our work.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required, or equivalent professional and work experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in social media content creation.
  • Experience engaging audiences through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok (a plus) with an understanding of social media metrics.
  • Strongly desired is experience with Sprout Social, Asana, Bambu, Keyhole, Trackmaven, Facebook Business Suite, design software (Adobe Suite), video editing, and/or Google Analytics.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technology applications for social media management is a must.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills, including the ability to identify and work through challenges, underscored by strong judgment and emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong organizational skills.
  • MS Office/Google Docs proficiency.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on multi-step, detail-oriented projects with strong organizational skills in a fluid environment.
